Registered Nurse – Wards & High Dependency Unit

About the role
We are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our clinical team at Burnside Hospital’s Toorak Gardens campus. The positions are permanent, full‑time or part‑time, covering surgical and medical wards as well as the High Dependency Unit (HDU). You will report to the Clinical Manager and provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care in line with NSQHS Standards.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing assessment, planning and evaluation for patients across wards and HDU.
- Respond promptly to changes in patients’ clinical condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Support efficient patient flow and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Uphold professional standards and contribute to a patient‑centred culture.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced acute care environment.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
