Registered Nurse – Virtual Kids (Temporary, Full/Part‑Time)

About the role

The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its VirtualKIDS service. This temporary, full‑/part‑time position provides on‑site, 24/7 virtual paediatric care to children and families across NSW, supporting acute, chronic and complex health needs from the comfort of home.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver virtual clinical assessments and interventions for children and young people.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
• Utilise clinical IT systems to document care and communicate with families.
• Participate in a rotating roster covering day, afternoon and night shifts, including public holidays.
• Adhere to Child Safe Standards and maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent acute paediatric nursing experience with an up‑to‑date skill set.
• Ability to work a seven‑day rotating roster, including public holidays.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Clinical IT proficiency.
• Computer literacy.
