About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team at Lavarack Health Centre in Townsville, providing primary healthcare to Australian Defence Force members. This civilian Registered Nurse position offers a balanced work schedule and the chance to make a tangible impact on the health of service personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Cover planned and unplanned leave for the health centre.
• Deliver high‑quality primary care, including health assessments, vaccinations, and monitoring patients in a low‑dependency inpatient ward.
• Collaborate with general practitioners, physiotherapists, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals.
• Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year experience in acute care, primary health care, or a military setting.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Australian citizenship (baseline security clearance).
• Commitment to continuing professional development and patient‑centred care.
