Registered Nurse - PACU

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney, a tertiary private hospital in Darlinghurst founded in 1857, is recruiting Registered Nurses with Anaesthetic and Recovery experience to join its growing team. The role is full time, permanent, with part-time available, and pays from $41.58 to $58.40 per hour plus super depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Work in the Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetics Care Unit (PACU) and facilitate a safe recovery for patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed patient records and document all nursing interventions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' registered nursing experience in a theatre environment.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in anaesthetics and PACU.
• Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions (DIV 1).
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australia visa granting work rights for this role; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal and well-developed communication skills.
• Experience as a floor manager or willingness to develop in this area is highly desired.
