Registered Nurse – Home Care

About the role

Join Calvary Home Care in Adelaide as an experienced Registered Nurse providing high‑acuity care to short‑term and long‑term home care clients. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive clinical team, delivering complex nursing interventions in a flexible shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer IV, IM, SC and PO medications, including IV cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care.
• Provide simple and complex wound care, compression therapy and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
• Manage drain care and male, female and supra‑pubic catheter care, including client education.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation and communicate effectively within the clinical team.
• Conduct initial assessments, develop and update care plans, and recognise clinical deterioration for appropriate escalation.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience.
• Willingness to obtain NDIS and police clearances (if not already held).
• Own reliable car with driver’s licence (km allowance provided).
• CPR and manual handling competency.

Required skills

• IV medication administration and cannulation.
• PICC line and Infusaport management.
• Complex wound care, including NPWT.
• Catheter and drain care with patient education.
• Accurate clinical documentation.
