Registered Nurse - Haemodialysis (FT & PT)

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is recruiting a Registered Nurse for full-time and part-time positions in its haemodialysis clinical setting in Stirling. The nurse takes part in designing, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care while protecting patient rights and maintaining a safe, healthy workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care in the haemodialysis setting.
• Protect patient rights by following Privacy Principles and providing a high standard of care.
• Be responsible for own professional development and educate colleagues, patients and visitors.
• Promote a safe, secure and healthy work environment and a comfortable environment for patients and visitors, as set out in the Workplace Health and Safety policy.
• Take part in quality improvement by reporting incidents, hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Complete clinical and mandatory competencies annually and carry out defined management functions when required.
• Maintain accurate patient information in medical records, including the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS), and follow confidentiality and privacy policies.

Required profile

• Registered as a general nurse with AHPRA and holding a current practising certificate.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise (or working towards it) in nephrology nursing.
• Ability to reflect on nursing practice and apply learning, and to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Organised, able to make decisions and solve problems, and able to be self-directed.
• Ability to educate staff and patients; knowledge of nursing, nephrology and related professional issues.

Desirable

• Nephrology nursing theory and practice.
• Computer literacy.
• Commitment to quality improvement initiatives.
