Registered Nurse – General Practice (Townsville)

About the role

Doctors and Co. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Practice team in Townsville. You will work closely with physicians and support staff to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care in a fast‑paced clinic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform immunisations, injections and ECGs.
• Conduct triage, wound management, chronic disease management and health assessments.
• Explain procedures to patients, providing support and reassurance.
• Assist with care plans, shared health summaries and telehealth consultations.
• Support doctors during clinical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Manage treatment‑room logistics: stock control, instrument sterilisation, equipment maintenance and infection control.
• Undertake reception and practice‑management duties as needed.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in an accredited General Practice setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional, compassionate approach with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems and manage time effectively.
• Current Police Check, Working with Children clearance, First Aid/CPR certificate, Immunisation record and valid photo ID.
