Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Mount Gambier)

About the role

Join the Emergency Department team at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service, providing 24/7, high‑quality emergency care to the Limestone Coast community. This role offers full‑time and part‑time shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person‑centred nursing care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs.
• Work within the short‑stay unit and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat and monitor patients.
• Manage a diverse caseload, responding to emergencies, injuries and acute illnesses.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality care with a compassionate approach.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing competencies applicable to an emergency department setting.
