Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is seeking permanent Registered Nurses to work in its Emergency Department, described as South Australia's only 24/7 private emergency department. Multiple positions are available across all shifts, in a permanent part-time capacity. The nurse provides safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency treatment to patients with minor to major illnesses, supporting over 20,000 people each year
• Work across all shifts in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment
• Support career change into emergency nursing through the clinical educator team, although previous emergency nursing is favoured

Required profile

• AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• Previous emergency nursing is preferred
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised way during periods of high demand
• Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
