Registered Nurse – Dialysis

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver life‑sustaining dialysis treatments in its Alice Springs clinic. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing compassionate care to patients with chronic kidney disease.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver haemodialysis treatments and monitor patient progress in accordance with APHRA standards.
• Participate in design, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within the haemodialysis setting.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS) and uphold privacy and confidentiality policies.
• Report incidents, hazards and quality‑improvement opportunities and support the clinic’s safety and health policies.

Required profile

• Registered general nurse with a current practising certificate from AHPRA.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in nephrology nursing or working towards it.
• Effective communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS) or similar clinical software.
• Computer literacy and ability to perform staff and patient education.
