Registered Nurse - Critical Care (Permanent, Full-Time)

About the role

Southern NSW Local Health District is recruiting a permanent full-time Registered Nurse for its Critical Care team in Moruya, with 38 hours per week. The nurse delivers person-centred care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team, and supports less experienced clinicians. Applications close on 5 November 2026, with interviews scheduled within 10 days of closing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred nursing care using best-practice evidence, in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary team
• Provide supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care
• Advocate for and implement individualised care, with a commitment to quality improvement
• Prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• At least 3 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit
• Recent clinical experience relevant to the position, with evidence of professional development and maintenance of competence
• Australian citizenship, or Australian permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship with a current passport

• Knowledge of the complexities of nursing care in a multidisciplinary team
• Evidence-based practice and critical thinking
• Effective clinical communication, written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to supervise, delegate and negotiate, with leadership and willingness to embrace change
