Registered Nurse – Bunbury Donor Centre (Permanent & Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Lifeblood is seeking both a permanent full‑time and a one‑year fixed‑term Registered Nurse to join its Bunbury Donor Centre. You will play a vital part in supporting life‑saving blood donations while working in a community‑focused, low‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during blood collection.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up and operate blood collection machines and equipment.
• Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
• Manage adverse donor reactions, offering instructions and physical assistance.
• Monitor donors post‑donation and assist with re‑booking appointments.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing degree.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to lift between 9 kg and 22.7 kg occasionally.
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending while setting up and packing down equipment.
• Flexibility to work a rotating fortnightly roster, Monday‑Friday, including early mornings and afternoons.
