Registered Nurse (AOD / Mental Health) - Blacktown

About the role

Skilled Nursing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Registered Nurse for a permanent position in Blacktown, NSW, working in mental health and AOD. The role offers flexibility, with part-time or full-time options depending on what suits your lifestyle. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including GPs, social workers, AOD specialists and allied health staff to support clients with physical and psychosocial health needs.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (List A).
• Minimum 3 years' clinical experience, ideally in community health or GP practice settings.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and harm minimisation frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse clients.
• Unrestricted driver's licence, essential for outreach work.
• BLS certificate and up-to-date CPD and immunisation requirements.
• Experience with people experiencing mental health, AOD, homelessness or refugee-related challenges is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Experience using clinical systems such as HELIX, Best Practice or similar.
• Compassionate, adaptable and passionate about improving healthcare access for those most in need.
