Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics and Recovery

About the role

Mater Hospital, Sydney North Shore, is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Surgical Services department in the Anaesthetics and Recovery area. The role provides specialised nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgery, within a private hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs during the recovery phase
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and post-operative complications
• Administer medications and pain management therapies as prescribed
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the recovery journey
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence

Required profile

• AHPRA registration (DIV1) with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Commitment to patient-centred care
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• PACU, critical care, emergency, ICU, HDU or anaesthetic nursing experience highly desirable
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold a visa granting work rights; visa sponsorship is not available
