Registered Nurse - Aged Care (Night Shift)

About the role

Calvary is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a fixed-term, 6-month night duty position at its aged care service in Lakes Entrance, Victoria. The role offers the chance to lead and support care delivery overnight while working independently, in a supportive team within a well-established aged care service. The start date is 4 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care, medication administration and health assessments for residents during overnight shifts, and monitor wellbeing and respond to emergencies or clinical deterioration.
• Manage and assess the care needs and clinical condition of residents, and give direction to care team members on clinical needs such as wound, diabetes and behavioural management.
• Coordinate quality clinical and care services in line with a resident-led, person-centred model of care, and provide social and emotional support to all residents.
• Ensure compliance with aged care standards and policies, and lead and support care staff on night duty.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• NDIS clearance check or willingness to obtain one, and a current national police check.
• Commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness; effective communication oral and in writing.
• Ability to negotiate and manage human resource issues, and to use information technology such as Word and Excel.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of workplace health and safety (WH&S) and infection control.
• Medication administration and clinical assessment.
