Registered Nurse - Acute General Ward / Emergency (Contract)

About the role

Port Broughton District Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Acute General Ward and Emergency Department on a contract basis from 19 December 2026 to 12 February 2027. This is an 8-week fixed-term position at 0.8 FTE in a dynamic acute care environment, advertised by JPS Medical.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in acute and emergency department nursing
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
• Preferred: Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
• Preferred: post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in Emergency Nursing

• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to acute presentations
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites, including potential shifts at Snowtown
