Registered Midwife (Casual, Part-Time)

About the role

Redland Hospital, part of the Bayside Health Service Casual Nursing and Midwifery Pool, is recruiting a Registered Midwife for a casual, part-time position in Brisbane South. The midwife delivers safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services, working with midwifery and multidisciplinary teams to support women, newborns, families and cultural kinship structures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services
• Provide individualised, culturally safe care that respects women, families and cultural kinship structures
• Apply clinical assessment, planning and decision-making skills, including neonatal resuscitation, emergency care and stabilisation
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams using effective communication and reflective practice
• Contribute to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in clinical care

Required profile

• Compassionate and adaptable midwife passionate about safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care
• Sound clinical knowledge and skills across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
