Regional Vice President of Sales - ANZ

About the role

Cognition, an applied AI lab behind the AI software engineer Devin, is expanding into Australia and New Zealand and is looking for a Vice President of Sales to launch and scale its operations there. As the first senior hire in the market, you will build the full ANZ business from scratch, leading go-to-market, establishing commercial and government partnerships, hiring cross-functional teams and driving revenue while managing the local P and L.

Key responsibilities

• Launch and scale Cognition's ANZ operations and own the country-level P and L, hiring, sales execution and operational performance
• Build and lead a local team across sales, customer success, engineering, support and operations
• Lead strategic partnerships with ANZ enterprises and government agencies, and drive sales cycles end-to-end, closing deals directly and through partners with key enterprise customers
• Partner with global leadership to align product-market fit for ANZ and represent Cognition externally in the region's business and technology ecosystem
• Build scalable internal processes for customer onboarding, implementation and success, and give feedback to Product and Engineering on localisation and feature needs

Required profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in ANZ, ideally at fast-growing software or AI companies
• Proven experience launching and scaling operations in new markets selling disruptive software
• Deep knowledge of ANZ's enterprise and government sectors
• Experience building cross-functional teams from the ground up
• Nice to have: background in engineering or product-led companies, exposure to high-growth US or global companies entering ANZ
