Regional Project Manager

About the role

Queensland Airports Limited is seeking a Regional Project Manager to lead capital works across its regional airport network, including Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach. Based in Townsville, you will support Project Owners in delivering commercially successful, fit‑for‑purpose infrastructure that underpins airport growth and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning activities such as feasibility studies, options assessment, programme development and risk assessment for regional ports.
• Develop design briefs, review detailed designs for compliance, constructability and value‑for‑money, and manage consultant approvals.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery including tendering, procurement, contract administration, contractor and consultant management, and project handover.
• Prepare clear project reports, governance updates and business case inputs for senior leadership.
• Identify, prioritize and plan future major capital works to align with master planning requirements.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate qualification in engineering, construction management or project management.
• Demonstrated experience delivering medium to large capital projects from inception through to completion.
• Strong capability in stakeholder engagement and governance reporting.
