Regional Operations Manager – Rail (Bulk West)

About the role

Aurizon, Australia's largest rail freight operator, is seeking a Regional Operations Manager for its Bulk West team, based in Kalgoorlie or Esperance. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the performance, safety and long-term success of the Kalgoorlie and Esperance rail operations, overseeing operational delivery, customer partnerships and the safe, reliable execution of supply chain services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership across daily rail operations in the Bulk West network, ensuring safe and efficient freight movement.
• Lead the development and execution of strategies that strengthen safety leadership across the region.
• Empower, support and manage regional operations leaders to deliver people, safety and performance outcomes.
• Drive customer outcomes by consistently meeting and exceeding operational performance expectations.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain and P&L accountability for Kwinana and South West operations.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and deliver continuous improvement, mitigate risk and contribute to short-, medium- and long-term strategic plans.
• Build and sustain strong internal and external relationships that support growth across the Bulk pipeline.
