Regional Mechanical Engineer

About the role

UGL is seeking a Regional Mechanical Engineer to support critical fuel storage and terminal assets across Eastern Australia. Based in Brisbane, you will combine office‑based engineering work with site engagement, delivering asset improvement initiatives and project development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct asset condition assessments and develop engineering solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
• Create scopes of work and technical packages for asset improvement, renewal and modification projects.
• Provide mechanical engineering advice and technical support to operational and project delivery teams.
• Support tank inspections, integrity assessments and turnaround activities across customer sites.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, risk reduction and asset optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Resources, Manufacturing or Heavy Industrial sectors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
