Recruitment Coordinator

About the role

Stepping Stone House is seeking a passionate Recruitment Coordinator to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for its not‑for‑profit organisation. This permanent part‑time position (2 days a week) is based in Rockdale and reports to the People & Culture Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, including advertising, screening, interview coordination, reference and pre‑employment checks, and preparing offers and contracts.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate and onboarding experience, coordinating inductions, system access, equipment provision, and probation processes.
• Maintain recruitment compliance and accurate records in Employment Hero, ensuring adherence to legislation, Child Safe Standards, DCJ obligations, and organisational policies.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop position descriptions, provide recruitment advice, and build talent pipelines.
• Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes, employer branding, and broader HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or People & Culture administration with responsibility for end‑to‑end recruitment.
• Strong understanding of contemporary recruitment practices, employment legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and candidates.
• Proactive mindset, excellent organisational skills, and strong communication abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee) and ability to obtain a satisfactory National Criminal Check.
