Rail & Transport Architect – Experienced Graduate to Project Lead

About the role

Architectus, a multidisciplinary design practice with 800+ professionals across 13 studios in Australia and New Zealand, is hiring for its Sydney studio. The role suits candidates with experience on rail or transport projects, from experienced graduates up to project lead level, working alongside a national team of design and delivery leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and/or lead the development and implementation of design concepts, including project briefing, predesign and conceptual design
• Prepare architectural documentation such as detailed design, renderings and presentations to an advanced standard
• Coordinate project delivery, including overseeing procurement and construction delivery
• Report regularly to the Project Lead or Principal on objectives, progress, resources and finances
• Identify issues affecting quality, milestones or finance and recommend solutions
• Build relationships with clients and external project contacts, and work with internal teams
• Attend site visits

Required profile

• 2 to 8+ years of post-graduation experience
• Qualifications meeting eligibility requirements for APE registration
• Rail or transport experience; preferred prior experience on large-scale, complex public projects
• Valid Australian or New Zealand work visa; pre-employment screening applies

Required skills

• Revit and 3D modelling (Rhino preferred)
• Adobe skills
• Design communication through imagery and diagrams
• Knowledge of BCA/NCC and other standards such as Transport Standards
