Rail Operations Support Officer

About the role

SCT Logistics, Australia's largest privately owned rail and freight logistics company, is hiring a Rail Operations Support Officer in Altona, Victoria. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, the role supports day-to-day rail operations and crew scheduling. The position is permanent and full time.

Key responsibilities

• Support crew rostering and allocation, including managing roster changes and identifying crew shortfalls.
• Assist with day-to-day rail operations, including rolling stock, fleet and fuel coordination.
• Maintain accurate operational, compliance and incident records.
• Assist with incident and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare regular operational performance reports and keep accurate documentation.
• Work closely with Train Coordinators and operational teams to support efficient rail operations.

Required profile

• Previous rail operations or transport administration experience (desirable).
• Track awareness competency (desirable).
• Experience with fatigue management or rostering frameworks (desirable).
• Experience with incident reporting systems and regulatory compliance documentation (desirable).
• Familiarity with crew rostering systems and fatigue management requirements (desirable).
