Quality Partner - Afternoon Shift

About the role

Primo Foods is seeking an experienced Quality Partner on the afternoon shift (approximately 2:30 pm) to maintain product quality in line with specifications, legal requirements and food safety standards. Based in Chullora, the role works closely with production and quality teams to champion HACCP, GMP and process control, and to build a strong food safety culture. It involves real-time technical support on the factory floor, leading audits and validations, managing non-conformances and product holds, and driving corrective and preventative actions.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce GMP, HACCP and process parameters, and ensure compliance with Imported Pig Meat regulatory requirements
• Conduct GMP audits, internal audits and participate in third-party audits
• Complete annual validations including Branded Product Evaluations and Cook Chill validations
• Initiate product holds, investigate customer complaints and non-conforming raw materials or packaging, and oversee CARs and PARs
• Conduct quality rounds and provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support to production teams
• Deliver accurate quality data to internal stakeholders and implement improvements in safety, quality and efficiency

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related scientific discipline, with at least three years' experience in food manufacturing
• Demonstrated internal auditing capability and experience in third-party audits
• Confident communicator who can influence and support operational teams
• Organised, detail-focused and proactive, with a focus on food safety and continuous improvement

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, VACCP/TACCP and customer standards
• Knowledge of certification requirements and Australian food legislation (preferred)
