Quality Officer

About the role

Construction Sciences is seeking a Quality Officer to join its Quality Team in Sydney. The role supports NSW laboratories in maintaining robust quality systems, meeting accreditation standards, and delivering high‑quality testing services.

Key responsibilities

• Support laboratories in maintaining an effective Quality Management System to ensure ongoing accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001.
• Assist NSW labs with quality matters in line with contract, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
• Facilitate internal audits and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare quality‑related reports and communications for internal audiences.
• Provide guidance during non‑conformances, including corrective and preventive actions.
• Travel to laboratories as needed to achieve quality objectives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in construction materials testing.
• Practical understanding of quality systems, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
• Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or higher (desirable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or long‑term unrestricted work rights in Australia.
