Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to own and evolve our ISO 9001‑aligned Quality Management System. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our innovative medium‑voltage connector systems meet the highest safety and compliance standards across mining, defence, naval and heavy‑industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Own, maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001‑aligned QMS across the organisation.
• Manage all document‑control processes, keeping procedures, work instructions and records accurate, current and accessible.
• Plan, conduct and report internal audits, identify non‑conformances and drive corrective‑and‑preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
• Support external audits and act as the primary liaison with certification bodies.
• Oversee supplier quality activities, including assessments, approved‑vendor lists and performance monitoring.
• Produce quality‑performance reporting and data analysis to inform management review and strategic decisions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across operations, manufacturing and the supply chain.
• Coach and communicate quality standards to the wider team, building awareness and competence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a QMS, quality‑assurance or quality‑analyst role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and hands‑on experience with auditing, document control and CAPA management.
• Background in sectors with stringent compliance requirements such as mining, resources, defence or heavy industry.
• Strong communicator able to engage stakeholders from the shop floor to the boardroom.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple workstreams independently.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, quality management or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
