Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

Equilibrium Manufacturing is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Quality Assurance Manager to lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System at its Minto, NSW facility. The role ensures that all products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements and the highest food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF and FSANZ standards.
• Lead food safety programs including environmental monitoring, allergen management, supplier approval, traceability and corrective actions.
• Manage customer, certification and regulatory audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Investigate quality incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across production, operations and product development.
• Support supplier quality management, risk assessments, validation, verification and documentation control.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, GMP, SQF, FSANZ).
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining a QMS in a food manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record managing audits and certification processes.
• Ability to conduct investigations, root‑cause analysis and drive effective corrective actions.
• Experience with supplier quality, risk assessment, validation, verification and traceability programs.
• Understanding of documentation control, change management and audit readiness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related field.
