Quality Assurance Advisor

About the role

Babcock is recruiting a full-time, permanent Quality Assurance Advisor for its JP9101 High Frequency Communications Program, based in Abbotsford, Victoria. The role supports a critical Defence communications program with national impact, working with project teams, suppliers and quality leaders to implement and continuously improve quality assurance processes. It suits a quality professional who enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits and review Objective Quality Evidence (OQE)
• Maintain ISO 9001 certification requirements
• Support supplier quality activities
• Advise stakeholders on quality matters and support corrective and preventive actions
• Contribute to process improvements, program reviews, Integrated Product Teams and supplier engagements

Required profile

• Australian citizen with a Defence security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
• Tertiary qualification in Quality or a Business Management-related field, or an equivalent qualification in an engineering, technical or maintenance environment
• Experience in a Quality Assurance role
• Experience in process improvement using Lean/Six Sigma concepts

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of business management system auditing techniques
• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Auditor training
