Qualified Senior Accountant

About the role

RGM Financial Group provides accounting and financial planning services through three offices in Gippsland. It is looking for a qualified accountant to join its Moe office on a full-time basis. The role involves managing a number of clients ranging from individuals to small and medium businesses across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Tax compliance work
• Preparation of BASs and income tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements
• Client interaction

Required profile

• Degree qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA or CA qualified or enrolled
• At least 3 years of public practice experience
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Enthusiasm, loyalty and integrity; punctuality, efficiency, accuracy and strong organisational skills

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables), Word and tax preparation software
• Australian taxation: individual tax returns, BAS and GST compliance
• Cloud-based accounting software, especially Xero (minimum 1 year experience preferred)
