QA Engineer
Heidi · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Heidi is an AI Care Partner for clinicians, built to free them from documentation so they can focus on patients. As QA Engineer you own testing across web, mobile and clinical portals, from the first requirements conversation to the release gate. You work with PMs and engineers to find gaps in requirements before code is written, test features by hand, then automate what runs on every release, and build and maintain the E2E frameworks in JavaScript.
Key responsibilities
- Write test scenarios covering edge cases and test new features by hand before building automation.
- Design, write and run automated E2E tests in JavaScript across web, mobile and performance.
- Apply functional, regression and performance testing to find and fix issues before release.
- Test system integrations across web apps, mobile platforms and portals, and turn API specs into automated test suites.
- Run performance tests to find bottlenecks and design test strategies that reduce product risk.
- Contribute to customer-facing documentation and bug reporting, and report testing outcomes clearly.
- Use test management, CI/CD and issue tracking tools to keep testing fast and repeatable.
Required profile
- 3+ years in QA or test engineering on a web or mobile product; shipped work matters more than years on the clock.
- Experience testing APIs against specifications and testing integrations across web, mobile and portals.
- Clear written and verbal communication with engineers, PMs and stakeholders.
- Passion for AI, shown through hands-on building, prototyping or side projects.
Required skills
- Hands-on automated testing in JavaScript or TypeScript (Playwright, Cypress or similar) and E2E framework maintenance.
- Performance testing with k6 or JMeter.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test management and issue tracking tools.
What we offer
- Salary range of AUD$85,000 - $95,000.
- $1,000 annual learning and development budget, $150/month health and wellness allowance, $500 home office budget.
- 26 weeks paid primary parental leave and 18 weeks paid secondary parental leave, fertility support up to $10,000.
- Four weeks of work from anywhere per year and serious equity.
