Purchasing Officer

About the role

Join CSR as a Purchasing Officer based in one of our metro locations and provide purchasing support to stakeholders and sites across Australia. You will coordinate day‑to‑day purchasing activities while helping improve consistency, compliance and service across the purchasing process.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchasing requests and create accurate purchase orders within required timeframes.
• Monitor and resolve goods receipt and invoice discrepancies, working with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
• Promote use of preferred supplier arrangements and support procurement optimisation initiatives.
• Provide practical purchasing support and basic guidance on purchasing systems to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, Accounts Payable, supply chain or a similar operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within established policies, processes and approval requirements.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system.
