Public Relations Manager

About the role

Bega Group is looking for a Public Relations Manager in Melbourne to join its PR and Social Media team. The role helps shape the stories behind some of Australia's most trusted food and beverage brands, developing earned media and reputation-building activity that strengthens the brands, protects trust and supports commercial priorities. It works closely with brand, marketing and other business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver earned media and influencer campaigns that support the group's brands, reputation and commercial priorities.
• Lead end-to-end PR execution, from planning and content development through delivery, measurement and optimisation.
• Build and manage relationships with journalists, influencers, agency partners and internal stakeholders.
• Provide trusted PR advice, manage media engagement and support issues and reputation management.
• Use insights, measurement and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve campaign performance and ways of working.

Required profile

• Experienced PR or communications professional combining creativity with sound judgement and practical delivery skills.
• Ability to identify strong stories, navigate a fast-moving media environment and build trusted relationships across a complex organisation.
• Proven experience in PR or communications, ideally in FMCG, consumer brands or other fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated success delivering earned media, influencer and integrated communications campaigns.

Required skills

• Strong media relations, storytelling and content development skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communications counsel skills, including handling reputational and sensitive issues.
• Data-driven and commercially minded, using insights and measurement to improve campaign performance.
