Public Area Housekeeping Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role

Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley, a contemporary hotel with 200 guest rooms, Meze Restaurant, Meze Bar and a busy conferencing and events operation, is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join its Housekeeping Team on a part-time basis. The role suits someone who enjoys early mornings, takes pride in their work and loves being part of a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the hotel's public areas clean, fresh and welcoming at all times.
• Clean and maintain the lobby, corridors, public bathrooms, lifts and other shared spaces.
• Vacuum, mop, dust and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Replenish amenities and supplies in public areas.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping Team to create a positive guest experience.
• Follow hotel hygiene, health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Availability to start shifts at 5:30 AM is essential.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
• Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, reliability and punctuality.
• Able to work independently and manage time well, prioritising tasks.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
