Property Accountant

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Property Accountant to join the Finance team in Brisbane. You will manage financial reporting and performance for a portfolio of hotel properties, providing insights and supporting commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements and variance analysis.
• Develop monthly forecasts, annual budgets and cash‑flow analysis for the property portfolio.
• Perform daily and monthly revenue, balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Review financial performance with Hotel General Managers, property owners and finance leadership.
• Provide financial advice, identify cost drivers and recommend profitability improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Property Accountant, Hotel Financial Controller or similar finance role.
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
