Project Officer – People & Systems

About the role

The Faculty of Engineering at UNSW is seeking a Project Officer to drive people‑centred initiatives that support its People and Systems strategy. You will design, implement and coordinate projects that promote equity, diversity and inclusion for staff, fostering a collaborative and safe workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored initiatives that advance equity, diversity and inclusion across staff cohorts.
• Provide project management, communications, reporting and analytical support for Faculty priorities.
• Maintain and update key systems and data to ensure coordinated and sustainable delivery of initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders across the Faculty to gather requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Produce marketing and communications materials to promote programmes and events.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in project and event coordination, including planning, implementation and outcome reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative approach with the capacity to manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.
• Experience with digital communications or design tools (preferred).

What we offer

• Full‑time fixed‑term contract (24 months) at Level 6 salary $103,866–$110,801 AUD plus superannuation.
