Project Network Officer - Operations East

About the role

Western Power is recruiting a permanent Project Network Officer for its Operations East team in Merredin. You will manage the construction phase of asset-driven and customer-driven projects, keeping knowledge of work standards, procedures and network systems current while working toward continuous improvement and innovation of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and motivate others to succeed
• Manage your own work to respond to customer enquiries professionally and quickly
• Keep computer systems up to date and give project status reports to internal management and external customers
• Coordinate or perform complex technical work on Western Power networks
• Use project management systems and tools to manage work
• Adhere to, and ensure adherence to, all safety strategies, programs and practices
• Complete work according to engineering standards and regulations
• Monitor and analyse operational performance data

Required profile

• A Grade Electrical Licence is essential
• Cert III in ESI Distribution is desirable
• At least 8 years of extensive experience, including best-practice project management (negotiation, planning, communication, initiative, problem solving)
• Strong experience dealing with external customers
• All appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency
• Health and safety knowledge relevant to the electricity supply and construction sector
