Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager – Canberra

About the role

TSA Riley is seeking a Project Manager and an Assistant Project Manager to join its Canberra team. These client‑side positions involve delivering major property projects, from commercial refurbishments to new‑build fit‑outs, with strong stakeholder interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Support or manage projects through design, procurement, construction and completion.
• Coordinate design consultants, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Monitor project programmes, milestones, risks and deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, site meetings and project workshops.
• Prepare project reports, meeting documentation and client updates.
• Identify project risks and support mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Proactive, collaborative property professional with strong communication skills.
• Experience in project management, construction, design or property consultancy.
• Exposure to commercial refurbishment, workplace fit‑out or new‑build projects.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach with site‑based or construction delivery experience.

Required skills

• Tertiary qualification in construction management, architecture, engineering or related discipline.
• Understanding of design coordination and construction programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Capability to monitor quality, time, cost and scope requirements.
