Project Manager - Mineral Processing

About the role

A Perth CBD-based engineering consultancy serving the mining, mineral processing and materials handling sectors is looking for an experienced Project Manager on a full-time permanent basis. You will work closely with clients, engineering teams, project controls and senior leadership, taking ownership of complex mineral processing projects from initial planning to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, budget, schedule, quality and resource requirements.
• Lead delivery of mineral processing projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, schedules and resource allocation, and control costs to prevent overruns.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
• Monitor progress and address cost, schedule, quality and delivery risks.
• Manage client relationships, provide updates, reports and recommendations, and coordinate contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet client requirements, specifications and standards, and manage scope changes and risks.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning and project close-out, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering and project delivery experience, including at least two years as a Project Manager on mineral processing projects.
• Experience managing scope, budgets, schedules, resources and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Previous experience in an EPCM or engineering consultancy environment is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Forecasting, cost control, risk management, leadership and client stakeholder management.
• PMP or PRINCE2 qualification is highly advantageous.
