Project Manager – Major EPC Projects (Mining)

About the role

Primero is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major EPC projects in the mining sector. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from tendering and design through procurement, construction, and commissioning, while managing client and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage time, cost, and quality to achieve project outcomes.
• Develop and maintain accurate project plans, schedules, and technical coordination.
• Execute projects from inception to practical completion.
• Ensure compliance with HSE responsibilities and KPIs.
• Oversee daily project budgets, resources, and staffing.
• Provide guidance on procurement and subcontracting strategies.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and alignment.
• Implement governance and reporting frameworks for performance visibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience at Project Director level leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Extensive background in major EPC/EPCM or construct‑only projects within the mining sector.
• Demonstrated success on large gold or copper projects.
• Experience in Study and FEED management and full project execution.
• Strong commitment to safety and delivery excellence.
• Exceptional commercial, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
