Project Manager

About the role

Levett Engineering, a high‑performance precision machining business serving aerospace and defence programmes, is seeking a Project Manager to own customer projects from contract review through to final delivery. The role bridges customers and internal teams, ensuring projects are defined, scheduled, and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of assigned customer programmes and act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and success measures.
• Conduct contract reviews, assess technical, commercial and delivery requirements and develop clear execution plans.
• Translate customer requirements into production schedules aligned with capacity and business priorities.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate Production, Quality, Engineering and Planning teams to meet quality and timing targets.
• Partner with Production Planner to monitor workload, capacity and priorities.
• Drive issue resolution, corrective actions and maintain proactive communication with customers.
• Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders and monitor quality and engineering activities.

Required profile

• Proven end‑to‑end project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and production requirements.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience in aerospace, defence or AS9100‑compliant environments.
