About the role
The City of Ryde is building a high‑performing Project Management team to deliver community infrastructure that supports rapid population growth. As a Project Manager you will own projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating design, contractors, budgets and timelines to achieve high‑quality outcomes for the local community.
Key responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies and utilities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers and compliance documentation.
- Oversee on‑site delivery of road works, sports fields, open spaces and leisure centre facilities.
- Review business cases and project briefs, ensuring alignment with the City’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor progress against milestones, report status to senior leadership and adjust plans as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience in construction or infrastructure project management, preferably within the public sector.
- Strong ability to communicate with diverse stakeholder groups and manage complex contracts.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, urban planning or a related field.
