Project Manager – ERP Testing & Readiness (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports a major enterprise‑wide ERP transformation that is approaching a November go‑live. As the Project Manager for Testing & Readiness, you will lead testing coordination across a complex Workday implementation, ensuring the organisation is prepared for production.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage testing activities across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end‑to‑end business process testing.
• Drive testing governance, planning, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure alignment between business, functional and technical teams on test scenarios and execution plans.
• Support production readiness, dress rehearsals and go‑live preparation activities.
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues and critical testing milestones.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for internal and vendor testing resources.
• Establish improved ways of working and uplift the effectiveness of the testing function.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a delivery‑focused Project Manager in complex environments.
• Strong ability to assess challenges quickly and implement practical improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in higher education, government or similarly complex organisations is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Workday (experience advantageous but not essential).
• Comprehensive understanding of the full testing lifecycle, including SIT, UAT, performance and security testing.
