Project Manager – Defence

About the role

Lead end‑to‑end project management for critical submarine systems, guiding the full lifecycle development of advanced underwater sensing and acoustics products. Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers and component suppliers to deliver deep‑tech solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary product development projects from concept through delivery.
• Coordinate software, hardware design, signal processing and machine‑learning engineers.
• Oversee budgeting, financial tracking and ensure compliance with regulated defence standards.

Required profile

• Computer science or electronics engineering degree.
• Project management certification and proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary product development and budgeting.
• Australian citizenship (essential for classified technology).

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• FPGA development.
• Machine learning / AI.
• Digital signal processing (DSP).
