Project Manager – Defence Estate Works Program

About the role

Bureau Veritas is expanding its Defence sector capability and seeks a Project Manager to support the Estate Works Program (EWP) under a ten‑year Project Delivery Service contract. Based in Perth, you will join a high‑performing team delivering complex, strategically significant projects that contribute to Australia’s national security priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver multiple construction projects from concept through to completion, managing the full project lifecycle.
• Engage confidently with a broad range of stakeholders, building strong partnerships and maintaining alignment throughout delivery.
• Produce high‑quality project documentation and reporting that meets Defence and Bureau Veritas expectations.
• Manage cost, schedule, risk and quality to achieve successful outcomes.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth requirements and best‑practice governance.
• Oversee project handover and closeout, ensuring smooth transition to operational teams.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across future projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain/maintain one).
• Proven experience managing construction projects, preferably within Defence or Government.
• Familiarity with PM methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 or Agile.
• Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
