Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a reputable national Tier 3 design‑and‑construct commercial construction firm. You will primarily manage new‑build projects ranging from $15M to $40M, with occasional fit‑out assignments, and enjoy strong job security.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of projects valued between $15M and $40M.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors to meet project goals.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively to maintain project integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing new‑build construction projects in the $15M‑$40M range.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts and project‑management methodologies.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness and ability to work a mix of office and site environments.
