Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Operations team of a leading Australian manufacturer serving the commercial construction sector. The role will oversee projects from post‑sale handover through to final installation, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within scope and budget while meeting client and site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal teams and external subcontractors to achieve successful project delivery.
• Develop detailed project scopes, objectives and delivery plans, and monitor progress against schedule and budget.
• Manage project documentation, statutory handover paperwork and production documentation for manufacturing.
• Provide technical advice to customers on product suitability and oversee installation methods.
• Perform risk management and ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with preparation and monitoring of project budgets.

Required profile

• Experience in commercial construction, metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and construction documentation.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and stakeholder management capability.
• Graduate engineers are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using document management systems such as Aconex or similar.
