Project Manager – Adelaide

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Adelaide office. You will own entire projects and support a broader PMO on large‑scale engagements across transport, energy, water, defence and the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage project scope and prevent scope creep in collaboration with technical teams.
• Identify risks, constraints and opportunities across multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Develop clear, actionable project plans and schedules and ensure they are actively used by the team.
• Track performance, analyse progress and implement course corrections as needed.
• Collaborate with project advisors and technical experts to deliver high‑quality client outcomes.
• Prepare and present project reports, maintaining strong client engagement.
• Oversee subcontractor arrangements, including scope definition, delivery tracking, payments and due diligence.
• Continuously improve project management tools, templates and processes.
• Work with commercial, legal, insurance and technical stakeholders to mitigate project risks.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of project management experience, either in a client organisation or a consultancy.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and deliver results.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
