Project Logistics Coordinator – Brisbane (International Freight Forwarding)

About the role

The Project Logistics Coordinator will be based in Brisbane and will manage end‑to‑end planning, coordination and execution of logistics activities for special mining operations in Papua New Guinea. The role ensures safe, compliant, cost‑effective and on‑schedule movement of project cargo from global vendors to remote mine sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute the movement of containerised, break‑bulk, heavy‑lift and out‑of‑gauge equipment through ports and transport corridors.
• Act as the primary interface between procurement, engineering, freight forwarders, transport contractors, ports, customs authorities and site teams.
• Maintain compliance with PNG customs clearance, biosecurity processes and ensure accurate documentation throughout the supply chain.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in project logistics, preferably within mining, resources or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing containers, break‑bulk, heavy‑lift and OOG cargo.
• Strong understanding of PNG logistics environments, remote operations and infrastructure constraints.
• Experience coordinating freight forwarders, shipping lines and heavy transport contractors.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and biosecurity processes for PNG.
• Logistics, supply chain or engineering‑related qualification and familiarity with Cargowise.
