Project Leader / Package Leader - Architecture

About the role

SydneyMega Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of a national architectural practice based in Sydney, an experienced Project Leader / Package Leader with 8+ years of architectural experience. The role takes ownership of projects and packages, working closely with senior leadership across design, documentation and delivery, and leads project teams from early stages through to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects and packages through documentation and construction
• Allocate tasks and coordinate team workloads
• Work with senior leadership on project strategy and delivery
• Coordinate consultants and external stakeholders
• Manage project programmes, deadlines and deliverables
• Review architectural documentation and technical quality
• Identify project risks and resolve issues early
• Manage client communication and project expectations
• Support junior and mid-level team members and take ownership of project outcomes

Required profile

• Minimum 8+ years of architectural experience, including strong current Australian experience
• Proven experience leading projects and teams across multiple phases of delivery
• Experience coordinating consultants and multidisciplinary teams and working directly with clients
• Ideally holds the title of Project Leader, Package Leader or Senior Architect, or operates at this level

• Strong design development and documentation knowledge
• Solid technical and construction understanding
• Ability to manage project programmes and deadlines
• Problem-solving, decision-making, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to mentor less experienced staff; Revit capability highly regarded
